Photographer’s Note

just an old woman that I found in a lonely street in San Lorenzo, a little town 15km from TARIJA, a department of BOlivia, located in the south of Bolivia, next to Argentina.

It was a great experience to talk with her, because shes is around 100 years old.... so, to talk about the LIFE with someone that live for almost a CENTURY, is not common... actually find someone in the street with 100 years old !!!!

Welcome to TE. Interesting photo, with the B&W background and yet colour in the woman. Well done. You should always try to use the max size (800 pixels, and 200k). Well captured photo though.

Hola Ale, muy buena foto. Me gusta el hecho k sea asimetrica con la señora al lado. Creo que te ubiera quedado perfecta si tubiera mejor resolucion y un poquito mas de brillo.

A really lovely image Alejandro - I love the perspective line running through the image which really draws our attention to the old woman - the colour/black and white work is really subtle, very nice indeed - but best of all is her posture and expression - superb!

This is a really good combination of B&W and colour. You've really made the old woman stand out. I really like the composition - the running lines lead our eyes towards her.

Please add more in your comments though - I'd love to know more about the location, shooting conditions and what you were thinking when you took the shot.

O fundo (pedras) ficou perfeito para a velha senhora (old woman)
Um trabalho muito bom!
O defeito é o arquivo (small file) pequeno. Poderia ter usado 800 pixel em um dos lados. (800 pixel side)

This is one of my favourites of all your pics. Even without the partial desaturation, it would still be a wonderful image. Doing that has created something very special. Also, your note is very informative, which is great because I've learned something from it; something I would never have learned if it wasn't for you. Thank you.
