Photographer’s Note

Exceptionnelle à cette époque de l'année, une couche de 15cm d'eau, complètement saturée en sel, transforme le salar (grand comme deux départements français) en miroir géant. Le 4X4 semble rouler dans le ciel.
Ici c'est comme à la neige, il faut surexposer d'un diaph pour garder le blanc.

Etrange photo d'un étrange endroit... Merci de nous ramener cette image peu commune.
Pour ce qui est de l'exposition, ne faut il pas mieux sous-exposer pour ne pas risquer d'avoir des zones brulées ? (je ne suis pas spécialiste des photos de neige).
Par rapport au cadrage, je trouve l'horizon légèrement penché et un peu trop centré à mon goût.

Salar de Uyuni is a beautiful place. When I was there the view was quite different because it was dry. With the water on top it looks even better, like one huge mirror. The only thing I would change here is the horizon, which could be lower.

Having seen myself this place in dry season it is amazing for me to realize that the hexagonal structures of the salt are also present when covered with water. Therefore lowering the horizon would eliminate this information which is visible through the waves.

What an amazing sight. It almost looks like a dream or a mirage. Those mountains in the distance seem like a floating island. The way the color of the ground with the little bit of water matches the sky is really amazing. It is very surreal. It looks very beautiful. Very minimalist and attractive. Very amazing sight. Great job.

Photo totalement surnaturelle qui semble tout droit issue des jeux d'aventure comme Myst ou Riven. J'aurai comme toi laissé l'ile au milieu, ne sachant choisi entre les ondulations de l'eau et le nuage délicatemnt étiré.
