San Cristobal, une nouvelle église contre une mine
En 1998, Apex Silver achetait la concession de la mine d’argent de San Cristobal, à 90 km SSO d’Uyuni.
La rumeur dit que ce gisement serait plus important que celui du fameux Cerro Rico de Potosí, cette mine qui a enrichie l'Europe...
Le village se trouvant sur le gisement, les villageois ont accepté le transfert du village, 17 km plus loin.
L’ancienne église coloniale et le cimetière furent démontés et reconstruits pierre par pierre. Apex construisit à ses frais un village moderne, un hotel confortable (nous l'avons testé), des installations sportives, une école, un aérodrome.
Apex offrit des téléviseurs, de l'électro ménager et promit le travail à vie.

En 2005, l’exploitation n’est toujours pas démarrée. Cherchez l'erreur !

À Vancouver, siège mondial du marché boursier minier, la valeur des actions, comme ailleurs, dépend en partie des rumeurs concernant l' entreprise. Pour Apex, la concession de San Cristobal pourrait n’être qu’une manoeuvre pour doper la demande d’actions et augmenter le capital. L’exploitation de la mine pourrait ne jamais débuter ! Il n'y aurait donc pas à rétribuer la Bolivie pour l’exploitation de ses richesses. Où est le travail à vie ?

San Cristobal, a new church for a mine
On 1998, Apex Silver bought the San Cristobal silver mine allotment, 90 km SSW far from Uyuni.
The rumour says that this layer would be greater than the famous mines of the Cerro Rico de Potosí which make the Europ more rich ...
The village being on the layer, the villagers accepted to transfer the village, 17 km further.
The old colonial church and the cemetery were dismounted and rebuilt stone by stone. Apex built, with its own money, a modern village, a comfortable hotel (we tested it), sporting installations, school, airport.
Apex offered TV sets, frigs, etc, and promised work for life.

On 2005, the exploitation is still not started. Seek for error!

In Vancouver, world capital of the mining market stock exchange, the value of actions, like elsewhere, depends partly of the rumours concerning a company. For Apex, the San Cristobal allotment could be only one operation to dope the actions request and to increase capital. The mine exploitation could never begin! They will don't need anymore to remunerate Bolivia for its richnesses exploitation. Where is work for life ?
