Photographer’s Note
Tarata is a town 30 minutes from Cochabamba city; this small town preserves its colonial architecture and ambience. The old Franciscan convent in Tarata was an important center for missions to the tropical lowlands of the country in the 18th and 19th centuries; while it still holds monks, parts of the infraestructure have been turned into a museum.
