Photographer’s Note

Up in the mountains surrounding Cochabamba lies this little valley, at about 4,000 meters high. There is a very nice trout stream that I visit every time I can; you can see it at the left of the image. This particular time the water level was a bit low (winter is the dry season in Bolivia), so we didn't have any luck with the fishing, but we had a great time walking around and enjoying the Andes.

I've uploaded a view of the city of Cochabamba as seen from the mountains on the way down as WS.

quite distant but enjoyable and relaxing view at the mountains surrounding Cochabamba in bright sunlight...lovely grain...i could only imagine how it is to trek there...i have never really visited this area...cheers, arturo
