Photographer’s Note

This sloth was calmly walking in the main square of Santa Cruz. The animal is so slow that it makes us lazy only by looking at it. Its name comes from the fact that it has very slow organism metabolism. It sleeps about 14 hours a day!

Hi Alexandre,
nice capture of sloth, he is really sweet ;o)) I like look on his face... Good colours and sharpness but it's a pity that his one leg is cut...

A nitidez dessa foto ficou muito boa mesmo! Em Teófilo Otoni tem umas dessas preguiças na praça principal também. Acho que o metabolismo desse bicho é comparável a vontade dos políticos brasileiros de trabalhar...

Interesting shot. Lots of details and textures to see. Your "subject" doesn't seem to worry about your presence. So this guy lives in a square of Santa Cruz! Here in SP centre it would be backed as a barbecue...

It is very interesting to see this animal in the main square of a city! I thought they lived only in forest areas. Good details on the sloth. It was a nice idea to stop and capture him. TFS.
