Photographer’s Note

This was a moment where I was crying for a tripod. I found this smart and clever spider, who created its home in a post under a street reflector. Very smart move. Because light attracts a lot of insects. So if I were a spider, I can’t think in a most appropriate place to go hunting.

Hard to see for the human eye. Lucky me that I saw it, the bad think is that I didn’t have a tripod. I couldn’t get a steady shot of the of the golden spider web, which was marvelously glowing under the light of the reflector. Theo only angle where I could focus was the image of the reflector and the spider silhouette.

This picture was intended for the TN, but since I didn’t get the composition I wanted, I believe this compo is suitable for the TE. At least is an image of the reflector, which happens to have a spider. lol

Una foto muy conseguida y bien captada, a la vez que misteriosa. Qué bien se ven las presas de la araña pegadas a su red antes de ser devoradas.
Excelente POV y buen contraluz.

Ola Gabriel,

Bueno, parece que el no haber tenido el trípode a mano (me sucede lo mismo, dificilmente "lleve de paseo" al trípode), te ha rendido un buen resultado, con una foto distinta de la que deseabas, pero con un gran impacto gráfico al estar la araña oscura, sobre el fondo verde.

Hola Gabriel.
Muy buena fotografía, esta muy bien captada lo único es que me asusto al verla de repente ya que parece una araña de las que se llaman "Viuda Negra" que tienen en su barriga una coloración roja en forma de reloj de arena, este tipo de araña pueden provocar la muerte con su picadura y existen en muchas partes del mundo, se encuentra en todos los Estados Unidos así que debe de existir en los otros países de América.Lo interesante es que lucen inofensivas.
Pero nada, te felicito por tu fotografía y gracias por compartirla.

Pues es una foto de la más original. Bravo! No sé si debería estar en TE o TN pero personalmente me da igual, me gusta y punto.

Es bonito el contraste provocado por la silueta.

Hola Gabriel, aún sin trípode me parece perfecta, tampoco hay que obsesionarse con la nitidez. La forma en que la araña se recorta con el contraluz me encanta, y las sombras hacen de marco perfecto, guiando la mirada entre el cazador y sus victimas...

I like this photo ... and they way you have shown spider in a kind of a spooky light
but I want to tell you something that i remembered from the time when I was growing up in a small village in India .... "I used to watch the spiders make web" ... yes ... it is quite a feeling to see the spiders constructing their own webs.
anyways since your note to this photo was so very full of human emotions ... i felt like telling you something that i remembered

una inusual foto y composición, una diferente manera de ver una araña. Muy interesante tu nota, realza tu trabajo, que más allá de cierta deficiencia en foco, creo que la puntuaría como buena.

Espectacular imagem desta aranha e ainda bem que não a puseste no TN, uma vez que eu não costumo lá ir. Apesar das dificuldades apontadas a silhueta é verdadeiramente impressionante. Gosto da composição em diagonal e do resultado algo artístico. Parabéns!
