Photographers Note
This foto was taken early morning from my room in the Hotel Esmeralda situated about 30 meter above the village Coroico.
Coroico with it`s 3200 inhabitants is situauted in the Yungas which means tropical valleys. It`s a verry relaxed place.I stayed there for 5 days in the midtime of my 3 month travel and did a lot of lovely trekking tours.
But to go there from La Paz is a nightmare. You start in La Paz at about 3600m by minibus .First the bus goes up to Abra la Cumbre(4650m)and then it goes down for 3 hours and after about 30 minutes the paved road is finished.Coroico is at 1750 meters,so the difference is 2900 meters. The vegetation is changing every 15 minutes, like the unpaved road. It`s getting worse and sometimes the bus drives through small waterfalls.
I think you can imagine how good my first beer in Coroico did taste........
On my way back to La Paz i wanted to take a bus on the new and more safe road, but there is no public transport because nobody except tourists want to pay the toll

Hello Andreas,
Well, great place to wake up in the morning. Interesting composition with the empty table and opened window. I like colours - foggy but with the first sun rays.
greets
