The Ponce monolith is located at the Kalasasaya temple, in the archaeological site of Tiwanaku. It is an anthropomorphous sculpture, unearthed in 1957 by the Bolivian archaeologist Carlos Ponce, hence its name.

Excellent presentation of the famous monolith from Tiwanaku. Good colours and superb sharpness showing the delicate patterns of Mayan (or similar) signs.

One more voice to say that your presentation in this is superb, the choice of angle, the position against this beautiful blue sky, all perfect. I can see such finely carved detail in this sculpture, thesis really an artefact to be proud if. Very nicely done.

Almost as the big statues of the Easter-island, Pedro.
A beautiful archeology-piece, excavated and mounted on the area found. The carvings on the sculpture are very clear in view - beautiful pattern upon. well collected photo.

This is a very cute work of art. The dark grey statue, half against earth tones, half against blue sky makes a nice contrast to its background. Thanks for the information, too.

Ce ciel d'un bleu profond met bien en valeur cette statue. Une bonne gestion de la mise au point permet d'en découvrir les moindres détails.
