La Paz from a view point
La Paz is located in a valley. In the southern part of the city, which is comparatively on lower height, the somewhat better-off and rich residents can be found. On the surrounding hillsides and in El Alto, the hill of La Paz (in the background on the right), the slums are to be found. El Alto is considered dangerous for tourists.

Spectacular panorama of that impressive mountain city. A lot of buildings in an artistic chaos for any photographer's eye. Well seen.

I recently read that they are copying Medellín's idea and are building a whole system of gondola lifts connecting El Alto. I think that's a great step in the right direction for making it less dangerous, but I can imagine it's still far from safe.
It seems amazing to me how such a big city can be situated at this altitude, and I'm glad you share this good photo here as it's from one of the cities that really fascinates me. Great POV!

A fine expansive view over this Andean city. There is much to see here, a real plethora of architectural styles, and all in great detail. Very good colours and clarity.

Fine view over this big city with not only the skyline of downtown but also the expanding city (to the upper-right corner)well visable.

The wideness of the city is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings and of the mountains. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

What a great panorama of this metropolis with its so totally different districts.
The surrounding area seems to be very arid and inhospitable. Hard to believe that so many people live at this altitude.
The picture has an excellent quality, sharpness and is quite colourful.
Best regards, Paul

Good evening Achim,
Great new high rise buildings, in the skyline of the high-elevation city, created a fine contrast with the older buildings around.
Super clear view from yet a higher point. Fine photojob, impressive yet intriguing.

wow, love this shot.
in a strange way, the photo doesn't even look like a photo, looks like a model set-up on a table haha
its great though, fantastic views. I can look over the scene from side to side and see new things every time.

the natural scenery looks bare and rocky and it's amazing to see a whole city, with very diverse and somehow impersonal buildings, emerging from the rocks, becoming one with them and extending to almost fill the frame. I like how your downward point of view and tight framing accentuate the density of the city, up to the high rises we get excellent details too. I also like how you subdued the brightness of the light, creating a dramatic effect. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,
