[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
How I told you before, I took a tour to know Cerro Tronador volcano. There are many lakes in the way and we went for a valley that was build for an ancient glacier thousand years ago, when this glacier was over the valley and the lakes were build where it was ice. Pampa Linda is located in a high area inside this valley, there is a huge wall of stone cut by the ice and we can see many little falls there. Here we can see one of these many falls, the wind was so strong that it was difficult to the water to reach its natural way. Unfortunately it was noon and the light isn't special here.

Como já contei antes, tomei um tour para conhecer o Cerro Tronador. No caminho vamos por um fundo vale coberto de lagos. Este vale era coberto por um gigantesco glaciar há milhares de anos e, quando este se foi, o vale e os lagos foram criados. Pampa Linda esta localizada na parte alta deste fundo vale, de um lado aparece um imenso paredão de rochas, cortadas pelo glaciar, e de onde despencam inúmeras cascatas, do outro lado podemos apreciar uma vista do cume do Cerro Tronador. Aqui vemos uma das muitas pequenas cascatas que despencam do tal paredão, o vento era tão forte que levava a água para fora do seu curso natural. Infelizmente era meio-dia e a luz não era perfeita.

Interessante ver essa queda d'água vaporizar-se antes de atingir o fundo do abismo em virtude da ventania local!

Hi Jorge, It is good to see this geological feature and have it described so clearly. The high sun makes it tricky but a good result. Argentina has so much natural history which we can learn about through your lens. TFS. Murray.

I like the effect of the wind here. I wish the backdrop was a little more dark for the water to be more visble.
