Photographer's Note
Lanin Volcano (3776m. alt) from the eastern end of Lake Huechulafquen, w(hich transles into Lake Mouthful), taken in the morning under very widy conditions, which was actually the calmest and sunniest day of the week. This is the beginning of Lanin national park, which extends into the Chilean border just beyond the volcano. The vegetation increases closer to the border, so does the rain. This spot is about 50km. (unpaved road) from Junin de los Andes, the nearest civilisation. The road ends just before the border, and it gets worse each kilometer, I was able to go to the end in a normal car.

Hi Tan, my today's neighbor!
When it comes to landscape photography on TE, one name comes to my mind... YOURS! You go so many remote and beautiful places, the beauty of which you really know how to capture. I want to thank you for your postings.
Here the dark tones reflect the mood and atmosphere of this place, with just enough sky and pleasant off centering of the volcano..
Good night

Hi Tan
This a well composed shot with the waves complimenting the snow on the volcano and the vivid colours of the shrubs in the FG.
Well done.

Hallo Tan!
A most impressive view indeed! The interesting and so vivid foreground in contrast to these great mountains works very well. A really breathtaking scenery! I like this one very much!
Greetings from Germany - and have a nice weekend!

hello Tan,
a nice view with the alignement of the foreground plant and the summit (it could have been better with the plant in the other corner imho and without the dust near the summit!)

Hello Tan,
THis is an awesome view. The volcano is small by standards in this part of the world but still retain a striking presence. Good perspective with the inclusion of water on the foeground. Details and colours are excellent. THanks Tan :-)

Hi Tan... I love the painting quality of this photo. I particulary like how the white of the waves plays with the same color of the snow in terms of composition, creating a nice balance that makes more pleasent to observe the photo. Take care.

Olá Tan,
uma visão impressionante essa do vulcão, mas o que mais me chamou a atenção foram essas ondas no lago, bem grandes elas para um lago!
Parabéns e Abraço!

Hola Capitan,
I see you've been venturing to very remote areas, funnily the waves here give the feeling of being at the seaside, but I read it was a lake, so I guess the place was more than a bit windy, but anyway they provide great highlights to your foreground, and the rising volcano up behind in the bibiworld looks fairly impressive.
Have a nice week end, JY

Hi Tan,
I like the wave action with whitecaps to balance the bright white on the mountains in the distance. Good contrasts and very nice vivid colors. Excellent composition and TFS. Gerald

Very nice shot!
I like the composition and colours in this one.
Also the timing for this shot was crucial, with those waves approaching the surface.
Cheers, R.

Hello Tan,
This is a beautiful volcano, and the location by the lake makes the scenery amazing!
I notice the waves rolling in, probably a windy day...
A well balanced composition with rich colours!

I like it, Tan; most of the time landscapes with water are made with long exposures to freeze the water; here you have chosen for a short shutter speed and this has resulted in an interesting effect when the white foam of the waves interacts well with the white mountain top. Very good.
Cheers
Alexander

Hi Tan
Missed this one. I like the repetition of the small waves, in the lake. A marvellous backdrop, of the snowcapped volcano, with superb overall sharpness & colour. Tfs!
