Welcome at TrekEarth and a nice shot of the passion of tango. This couple has a very nice pose. I like the composition. The colors of the couple versus the weak colos of the wall seem to illustrate the passion versus poverty for me.
Next time please catch the faces to show the passion of the people.

Welcome. This is an excellent start.
To start with I must say that I don’t agree with Jan about the faces…..I like the fact that there is no discernable faces or expression. For me it helps put the emphasis on the shapes and form created by their bodies. Faces would cause you to try and interpret the personalities rather than explore the photographic presentation. I might even like to have seen their heads more lined up to increase the affect of both bodies merged into one. Your composition and cropping is excellent. I like the juxtaposition with the art work on the wall (today / yesterday, aggressive pose / conservative pose, tight cloths / loose cloths) and how their body angle leans back towards that history but not crossing that “line” . I like the range of color quality and the affect of the color contrast but I see it as more in line with the history vs today analogy.
The exposure in highlights a bit blown out and it could be a bit crisper.
I would like to see more of a comment…..and I would like to see more photos like this one! Excellent job.

Ola Milomir.

Amicalement/jr

I’m at TE just since yesterday, didn’t yet manage to post pictures, and I’m couple of hours looking for somebody who is close to my understanding, what is the "cojones" of photography. Now I think I’ve found the first like-minded. I also missed faces here, but only in the very first moment. Yet your photo is still not professional, in this case too explicit in terms of mcclurec’s perception, but, frankly, who would stand not to take such a beautiful picture and not to select and post it?
Both your Tangos are beautiful, the other one has also a minor shortcoming - centered composition - but that one is maybe more spicy, harmony of concentrated childish faces and teasing tango double-figure is amazing (IMHO more teasing than any nude).
Deeply impressed, looking forward to see your other pictures and more.

Wonderful outdoor tango capture, I like a lot how the lateral view accentuates the angles and dynamics of the moment, the debate about the faces, well it can fine be either way, here it works best like this, concentrating on the form but also replicating the artwork reference to the 'Old Guard' of tango where their faces are not visible either. The clothes are different, the music evolved from solo piano to more complex multi instrumental forms, but the hidden faces in both eras represents the constant spirit of tango.

Ide to tebi!
I picked this one as my favourite so far but hope there'll be more of tango from you in future.
Wide palette of colours here and the movement is superbly caught.

Amazing composition. Excellent combination between the couple dancing and the portrait on the wall. I also like the split made by the background colors. Impressive!

HA! Great timing here Milomir! I love the image on the wall as background, it's somehow similar to the actual dance being performed! It's refreshing to see images like these on TE, since we're usually used to seeing landscapes. This is a great travel pic! Good work Milomir!

Very good body language. The background pic of dance enhance the quality of the photograph. I think u should wait a while to get the expression of the man. It certainly give more thrust to your beautiful take.

well done, Milomir!
stiginthedump (1823) 2006-04-12 12:39
You can't see the faces in the painting so it's a good choice to not show the faces of the two dancers. Good shot!

rodalvas (641) 2006-11-02 17:00
You can hear it!
Very well done; the graphical aspect provided by both the colors and proportions, with the couple & wall decoration give this picture a very suggestive rhythm.
branley (3681) 2006-11-19 9:50
I noticed this on the home page and I know you haven't posted for over two years but I just had to say well done. A superb image with great, colour, lines and dynamism. Good to have the dancers inset in the wall too. A fine capture, well done.
kalle67 (55) 2006-12-13 5:25
it's passion,it's movement,it's sensual,it's powerfull.
right place right time right picture
the fact the the dancer's faces are not seen makes this a private moment for the dancer..we are just looking in on a moment of passion. The Mystery is heightened because we only see the bodies but not the face.
jsbedard (0) 2007-02-08 23:13
I like a lot the colors, very good composition too! Good work here..JS

This is an amazing photo. The composition and the colours are beautiful along with the very rigid position of the couple. This photo captures the beauty of dance and Argentina. Well done!
