Glacier Marino in Argentinas Glacier National Park, moves at an astounding 6 feet per day making it quite easy to watch its advance and demise through the day

Hi, twj Thornton,
It is a very nice photo with beautiful icing blue tone. I like it very much. I am just curious about how you get the top part of the photo, with such perfect solid black ?

Interesting picture although with very strange colours - black sky and blue ice and water. I am afraid there was an excess of post-processing on this picture ..

Glaciers in Patagonia are magnificent and this one is no exception. The blue colours keep amazing me. Well done.

Sureal shot twj! Rhapsody in Blue perhaps. Nicely done and well cropped.

Excellent photo and interesting lesson on photographing glaciars,
but this is not Glacier Marino(?) and the location is not Tres Lagos, (which is a small village 200 km north of the glaciar),
this glaciar, if I'm not mistaken, is Perito Moreno, is located 30km west of El Calafate
and Trekearth allows you to edit new villages, locations, cities as needed...
(I'm Argentine, and I've spent 1 week in and around El Calafate this last December (plus 10 days around Bariloche further north), memory is still fresh...)

I am curious which did you meter on this one. The blue ice or the black blackground. Did you set it manually or automatic? Did you use a filter?
Nice photo.
