Within the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, you can see and hear this magnificent advancing glacier from a series of catwalks and platforms. Over millennia Andean snowfields have compacted into ice and flowed eastward toward Lago Argentino and Lago Viedma, which in turn feed the Rio Santa Cruz, southern Patagonia's largest river, the centrepiece of this conjunction of ice, water and rock is the dynamic Moreno Glacier, one of our planet's most active icefields.
N.B. My take on this famous glacier taken from a distance. |

Thanks for this beautiful view Gil! Although the light conditions were difficult you have made a fine shot here, giving scale to the enormous size of the glacier. Best regards, Chris.
Hi Gil,

Hi Gil,
This is one of the 'most posted' places from Argentina but your image has something special to it. The composition is great (almost a rule of thirds expample!) and you got a nice photo out of difficult lightning (partially cloudy, ice, snow, dark mountains).
But what set its appart is the POV you choose! Fantastic!
Thanks for sharing and regards,
Carlos

Hallo Gil,
another wonderful clear and sharp shot of a wonderful part of our globe. Men become tiny ... This view is incredible.
TFS!
Frank
Hi Gil,
Beautiful shot, I like blue tones, clouds and mountains; it makes a coldc sensation.
Well done. I hope to have your luck to visit the glaciers.
