Tango is not a dance, Tango is the Argentinian way of life, it is danced everywhere. In Buenos Aires you could see students performing tango in the pictoresque quarter of La Boca in Caminito, or professional dancer in the pedestrian zone of the Florida stree, which is the main shopping center of the city. It is a very complicated dance and to master it you need to practice a long time. Only a professional dancer manages to maintain the eye contact with his partner all the time, which is the right way of the dance.

This is really how I think of Argentina.
The tango "way of life"
Thanks for your cooperation.

Very intense photo.
Was this photo captured while dancing or was it a pose to photograph?

Nice shot Michael,
Good crop... crisp and clean image... nice contrast of her red fish-net leggings against his dark suit...
You definitely captured "the moment"... lucky old man...

Michael, what a wonderful shot, I thought it was staged but after reading your note it is likely not :-)
I wish I could go there one day, I love tango... and also your shot of it, the way of life as you say. Excellent closeup of the dancers, great sharpness, hues

Wonderful shot of this couple dancing tango in the street. You seem to have captured them in the very right moment. Great job!

Fantastic shot. I love it. Like someone else it looks like you've frozen time. The contrast between the beauty of the dance and the plainess of street and the bank signs is reallly interesting. Well done.

Tango...movement of love and seduction. Subtle but expressive at the same time. And love is blind...that is why it is fair. It comes to anyone at any race, religion or age. That's Tango.

I remember seeing this old guy on Avenida La Florida, he can really strut his stuff. I never managed to capture his tango in full flow, the couple is barely ever static and I had quite flat light, so this shot, capturing the essence of the dance with a great composition, brings back happy memories.

Gosh... I think - YES !
You can call that a tango on the streets ( without a rose between the teeth, though).
