This spherical sculpture with three meters of diameter was installed in November 2002 at Puerto Madero. Creation of the artist Eduardo Pla, consists of a metal frame covered with galvanized silver slices and covered with neon tubes. This is the first light sculture of Buenos Aires, so much better seen at night in the dark.
Eduardo Pla explains the name of his work "El Sueño de la Esfera" (in english "The Dream of the Sphere"): "A neon dream, partly metaphysical, partly recreational, that refers both to astronomical bodies - that turn on curiosity revealing the mystery of our origin - and to quite womb waters, our delicate and sheltered internal woof, the life that is arising"

As said above, a very striking picture, a fascinating sculpture and you have positioned it perfectly between the two modern buildings, creating quite a surreal effect. Really nicely done, thanks for sharing.
