Photographer’s Note
Problably the most famous drink in the world, Coca-Cola can be found in the most unexpected and remote corners of the planet. Not the case here since Salta is a big city in Northern Argentina.
One thing I liked in Argentina was the way they use painted façades as billboards.
As usual, I waited for a chance to include a human element and I was lucky to have a red shirt on a bike.
From Rough Guide to Argentina:
"The city of Salta is undoubtedly one of the country's most traditional, most hospitable and best preserved, with an architectural harmony and aesthetic beauty lacking in many other urban centres in Argentina. Fabulously set in a cool, high valley surrounded by wooded mountains, its enchanting music, colourful processions and excellent facilities are all added attractions.
SALTA, historic capital of one of Argentina's biggest and most beautiful provinces, easily lives up to its well-publicized nickname of Salta la Linda (Salta the Fair), thanks to its festive atmosphere, handsome buildings and dramatic setting. In a region where the landscape and nature, rather than the towns and cities, are the main attractions, Salta is the exception. Fifteen hundred kilometres northwest of Buenos Aires, at the eastern end of the fertile Valle de Lerma, nationally famous for its tobacco plantations, and bounded by the Río Vaqueros to the north and Río Arenales to the south, the city is squeezed between steep, rippling mountains; 1190m above sea level, it enjoys a relatively balmy climate."

Hello Ricardo,
A spectacular building, well seen from the corner creating nice diagonal lines. The boy in the red teeshirt fits well into the composition. Fine sharpness and nicely saturated colours.

That looks like Malaysia, not Thailand, they don't paint buildings like ads. Very colorful, I guess I will have to look for my Fuji house shot. The colors are extremely vibrant, the contrast are bold and the sharpness is high. This boy cycling towards the Coca-Cola house adds life to the photograph, well done
Best regards

Hi Ricardo,
Nice bright colours from the blue skies to the coca cola red and the turquoise and yellow buildings. I like the boys shirt matching the coca cola red and he adds a nice dynamic to the shot.

Gostei! E o pormenor do pequeno ciclista estar de vermelho é genial.
Um abraço,
José

Hi Ricardo, Coca cola can be in strange places. In so called Nubian village near Assuan the tourists visit very primitive houses, but at the end there is cold cola for them. This cola is very colourful. in peru they hace their own product, inca Cola and it is even worse.

Not really good for the health but which belongs to the world culture this famous publicity !!! Typical district of Argentina nicely emphasized with this coloured shop. The cyclist arrives at the good moment in your composition adding a beautiful dynamics I find. The light is extra also emphasizing well the bright colors. Well done Ricardo and thank you for the interesting note.

Cumprimentos,

I think this is amazing! Not just because it's beautiful esthetically, but because it's nice to see how universal some things are.
what luck would it have been to see smeoe coming out of the place with a coke in his/her hand? or even better, someone who comes out, stop on the porch and drinks a bit...or even better, someone comes out and just stick the bottle to his/her forehead to cool himself down. That would be just awesome! But you might have to wait a long time!!!Especially that they might not sell coca-cola in there (because of the fotocopias writing).
have a beautiful weekend Ric!

Hi Ricardo,
A lot of South American countries look similar, but I really, really like to see these villages all the time. Like you are mentioning, this one is in particularly good condition, with nice colourful facades, shot under good light and with a perfect cloudy sky.
Good timing to include the boy on the bike in the frame.
Cheers!
