Photographer's Note
This is a panoramic view of the Argentinian border town of los Antiguos. (pop 2500)
I arrived here on Christmass eve after taking a bus from Coyayque in Chile to Puerto Ingeniero Ibanez from where I took a ferry crossing Lago General Carrera to Chile Chico and then crossing the border to Los Antiguos.
Several impressions first and foremost the unbelivably silly border crossing rituals. Hopefully one day we latin americans will wake up and try to integrate ourselves more and get rid of these borders.
The other one is that the Chilean side gets the rain and is mostly green and full of trees, while the Argentinian side is arid. THis explains why the houses on the Chilean side are made out of wood and in the argentinian side they are made out of brick.

Nice panorama - my only suggestion is that I can tell where the first and second image were merged - I'd recommend using the Rubber Stamp tool in Photoshop to get ride of the line. Nice composition though,

Great POV, great Panaromic view. I like the whole scene in a single frame and the joining line is not visible.
I can see the difference of nature, difference of border of the two countries here. The full series of mountain is looking lovely which was otherwise not possible to see in a frame.
Thanks for sharing this great panaromic view.

Hi Daniel,
Lovely panorama and I find the contrast between the relatively flat foreground and the mountainous background interesting. There is so much to see and the varieties in your selection ensured that our interest is maintained throughout. Splendid shot!! Have a pleasant weekend.

This is very narrow; you must have used a lot of images. There is a distinct difference in terrain between each side of the river; the snow capped mountains make a lovely backdrop. There are lots of details to view on the large version, although I can see some of the stitch joins.

Salut Daniel,

Hi Daniel,
I like a lot this image, I like its dimension and the way the dimension gives the sensation of depth..
The landscape is great and immense.. Argentina!
