Photographer's Note
Cerro Torre seen from Laguna Torre. Unfortunately I could not get a full reflection, within minutes the wind got stronger and all reflections disappeared, soon after the mountains also disappeared. The information pasted below mentions a bright-blue lake, but it was bright-brown that day.
Laguna Torre is the mountain lake on the way to the actual Mountain Torre. The site features a bright-blue lake with a majestic view of the mountain in the distance. This hike is about three hours in one direction with fairly easy walking through hills and forests. Near Laguna Torre is the Mirador Torre (Mount Torre Viewpoint), which offers another beautiful view of the mountain.

Selamlar Kaptan,
ilk ben yazim bari bugün,, ;)
Outstanding image as usual.."Outstanding" and "as usual" ?! doesnt even sound right together? but this is what happens with you,
you make outstanding shots "as usual" or "normal" which are just opposite concepts by nature.. lol
i am short of words for this one, Mr.Haddock..
fantastic maybe..

Wow! This is really extrordinary. I think the light here is almost perfect, with a few light clouds to keep the brightness of the snow and ice down and give lots of detail in those areas. As usual your composition is great, with dark mountainsides providing a frame to the scene. Superb!

Good composition of the Torre, Tan! Yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about..in my archives are numerous pictures of lagoons blasted with wind...
iIn any case, good colors, DOF, exposure control and sharpness! That`s the biggest advantage of using a prime, isn`t it??

Hi Tan,
Beautiful picture again. No, as you say the reflections aren't full, but they are reall very nice anyway. Impressively looking peaks again and a fine sky as well. Good work!

Bonjour Tan,
Daniel.

Ouch... this hurts! We were standing on the same sot in November 2004, but it was a grey and rainy day and we only saw the foot of the Cerro Torre... This is a very beautiful picture, Tan. The glacier is well exposed and the wrinkled reflection of the mountains in the water surface shows a bit of the chilly wind that's often present in that area. Nice and sharp picture, well done!

Great shot Tan, shame about the reflection as you say, but i think you shoudl count yourself lucky that you got your shot taken before the mountains faded out!
The mountain looks magical, nice sky too!

Hi Tan,
Awesome colours and tones in this classic shot, and the brown lake doesn't hurt my eyes at all. The reflections are enhancing and the interesting lines and curves of the landscape is well portrayed. Well framed and cropped for maximum impact. Great shot, Tan. This looks like an enchanting spot.

A beautiful mountainscape, Tan. You have captured the jagged peaks well. Good tones and detail in the rock balanced by a more artistic reflection in the rippling water. I was wondering about cropping a little on the right to remove some of the dark area but then thought that the right hand slope rising above the central peaks is better framing.

Wow - amazing to whatch how different the light can be on those fine landscapes you present for us - Even with a blurred reflection and not full as well, have you managed to give us a very fine view from this remote lake - thanks a lot Tan for sharing with us.

Oh Fitzroy, one of my favorite places in the world, I should scan one of my own photos - we saw it from another angle.
I love this photo, it's very rich in textures - the water, the glacier, the clouds. Beautiful.

Hi Tan,
wow - I dont know how this one escaped my gaze until now, but I guess thats what happens when you go away. Truly a stunning image, straight to my favourites. I am so looking forward to seeing this wonderful place at some point, but will it live up to all the pics I have seen of it?
Theres nothing to improve upon here, but maybe you could have found something to create a bit more foreground, one of the mini icebergs for example. Its too good anyway
cheers, David

Fantastic. I like very much the mountains and sky colors. I think is too much dark in the right of the picture but after all that's ok. Everybody say Fuji Reala is an awesome film, but I never used it.
