Photographer's Note

A magnificent glacier that fringes on Lake Argentina & tucked behind the famous Perito Moreno Glacier... an incredible place to visit - what I found so very interesting was the sound of the ice moving & cracking which sounded quite frightening at times.

Unfortunately here we can't hear the crackling of the ice but I understand it must be impressive. Anyway the view of these sharp ice peaks is very impressive and formidable.
Their blue colour is so wonderful, certainly in comparison with the dark mountains on the background.

A magnificent and intriguing place, the glacier is an overwhelming phenomena to watch. Here you show the proof that ice is blue, and the white we normally see is maybe just an illussion... my humor only.

That is a pretty amazing sight! The sharp points and peaks of the ice make me think of Supermans ice fortress :) Did you happen to meet him while you were here?
You got a really excellent composition on this too, the mountains poiking out behind and the very active and stormy sky make a very appropriate backdrop for this amazing natural scene. Thanks for sharing this cool unique shot.

What a view! I can hear the ice cracking and imagine seeing sections tumbling into the lake. You probably felt very small against that imminent danger as it seems you were very close to it. It is not often that one sees such a very "immediate" image ... fabulous! Kind regards to a great photographer.

It must have been an incredible experience to see this glacier "live" and hear it moving. A very nice composition with the crack and the cave as the centre, and the inclusion of the water, the glacier, the mountain, AND the sky! Lovely blue colour and sharp edges. TFS!

What a majestic sight, what a super photo of the glacier. I can hear the crackling in my mind's ear. Last June/July I saw the cousins of this glacier in Glacier Park, Alaska.

This is gorgeous nature wonder that we dont see every day... a spectacle of glacier in fine blue tone illuminated by the natural light makes very interesting view. What so impressive is the contrast to the surrounding area, excellent clarity and sharpness full of shades and shadows. I wonder why the color of glacier is bluu instead of white, Great photo work. Very impressive scenery indeed. Sharpness and POV are superb, however the blueish ice mountains look very strange. Should they not be more whitish? Otherwise excellent photo job
