Photographer’s Note
View of Lake Nahuel Huapi from 1406m summit of Cerro Otto, a classic sightseeing hill outside Bariloche. The main ski resorts are beyond this view on the left. The distant Andes form the border with Chile. The lake altitude is 770m. There is a chairlift to nearly the top, after which it is possible to walk like a penguin over slippery ice to the summit in a few minutes. I shared the cabin with the owner of the lift, whose son I gathered studies in Seattle, where I was living at the time, and we had a conversation on the Seattle grunge music scene in my tarzan spanish.
I could not get good blue on the lake from the original scan, so I added saturation and blue to the lake water, somewhat sloppily.
