Photographer's Note
I found this image so appealing.
The variety of the subtle pale creamy yellow colours, which to me oozed softness & charm.
I had not spotted the beautiful quiet dog as he blended into the colour theme so well.
I could not believe my luck being able to take a photo of the owner who was dressed to match the facade & paint work of the old house.
Enjoy.

Hello Dawn,
It is true, there is a nice color unit in the composition clever, interesting, good, and humorous. Bravo.

Dear Dawn
What a beautiful photo, I love the character of the house and door. But the star of the show is of course that beautiful big puppy who looks like he is camouflaged amongst the stonework, as you say. The definition, sharpness and chromatic rendering are spot-on. A small thing: the photo looks a little tilted, so I just corrected that in Photoshop to align the building with the frame. Hope you don't mind.
Thanks for sharing, have a beautiful evening

Hello Dawn,
It may look dilapidated from the outside, but it is evident that someone calls it home. A lovely study in subtle tones and textures. The guardian is a definite asset to the composition.

Hi dawn. Most fortuitous that the dog matches the stonework and paint in colour. Well seen. The bit of green is a nice contrast. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Dawn
Great adventure peeking around this old place capturing something special and clearly you can see the evidence of old in the stonework and the doors. Apart from the old there is some curiousness as to whats behind the closed shutters. It almost looks as if there were several stages of closing down this door and/or several repairs, this look great in its natural pale soft colors which really brings out all the different textures and layers. The geometries are perfect, but it is the grittiness of everything really makes this standout, and he almost camouflaged and blends into the setting!! Well taken shot
Warm regard

Hello Dawn
The way you saw this apparently common view is special. A very beautiful shot indeed which proves that good photographs can be made out of 'anything'.

Hi Dawn
The first thing to grab me is the dog, he is amagnificent animal, and the fact that he has mastered the art of camouflage is brilliant :) The textures of the gate and walls are brilliant and very vibrant. Really nice addition to the series.
All the best

Hi dear Dawn
Sorry for my late reaction to you!
Very tasetful image for maybe historical doors and gates. The dog is a very good accent. A little overexposure makes positive impact. Great shot indeed!
Thanks for sharing with your finest job and have a good Sat.!

Hello Dawn,
These colours certainly blend well. The dog gives the place a homeliness that belies the image of the rough wall and the faded paint. That faithful companion makes a great difference and you made a good observation.

Hello Dawn,
This is a nice composition with this entrance with it's soft almost pastel tones. The dog, which seems to have been "painted" to fit the decor, is adding an interesting element. The framing is well done and the texture of the image is appealing.
Best regards

Loyal and dedicated guard of the past and the present man's best friend is watching after a deserted house, his house still!!!
Matching colors, beautiful french shutters and the tree is still alive!!!

Hello Dawn,
The dog sit majestically in front of the facade, like you mentioned as an "owner", but knwing dogs - this is rather calm and confident dog: see his face expression.
Anyway, he fits to the general light-brown / creamy color of the facade, and this is a nice addition to your theme about "doors of time".
Have a nice week ahead,
Ike

Seems you always get the old doors and the dogs on the right place:)!
Very nice details and textures! I like the way you framed it and the the pose of the pose. Seems he has the same colours as the wall and door:)!

Hi Dawn,
Another lovely "door of time" ! Incredible capture of the dog whose fur matches the colours of the house and wall right to the rusty part !
You could have put your picture in "Decisive moments". Well done !
Kindest regards.
