Photographer’s Note

While the mountains of Patagonia are rugged and photogenic, the Atlantic coast is rarely photographed. East of the Andes, Patagonia is an empty wind blown cold desert, where oil drilling pumps or even the road itself seem to be the only subjects worthy of a photo. The Atlantic coast is also quite dull, where flat unvegetated terrain meets the sea. In this case, I thought the high position gives a good view of the clear waters of the south atlantic, and the scattered clouds fill the sky. 10mm. focal length, taken from the side of the highway just south of Comodoro Rivadavia. There is considerable amount of plastic trash thrown by picnicers, some of which is visible in the foreground.
