A continuation from my La Boca Series: Spotted two ladies enjoying the last beam of the sun for that day amidst the cold winter breeze from the port. Was envy of them, as soon as they're gone, I rushed to the same place and enjoyed the heat of the sun as well, a quite picturesque spot though so I had myself a "candid" portrait too. haha
La Boca is located in the city's south-east near its old port. From our place, the bus took about 40 minutes going there. It retains a strong European flavour, with many of its early settlers being from the Italian city of Genoa. In fact the name has a strong assonance with the Genoese neighborhood of Boccadasse.
It is known among sports fans for La Bombonera the home of Boca Juniors, one of the world's best known football clubs. La Boca is a popular destination for tourists visiting Argentina, with its colourful houses and pedestrian street, the Caminito, where tango artists perform and tango-related memorabilia is sold. They also said that it is best to buy souvenir items here cause prices are cheaper.

A beautifully clear and lovely color co-ordinated scene. My first impression was that they were cold and enjoying the sun, and your notes confirm this. Well seen! The shaded of blues and the warmth of the door in such lovely evening light really cook. Nice work, warm regards,

Foto simple pero tremendamente bella y llena de grafismo, llama también la atención por sus colores vivos. Estupenda escena del día a día de este lugar tan típico en Buenos Aires.

The projected shades of the tree carry out us to posed the eyes on the two women sitting on the steps, being heated last sun rays.
Beautiful Image, pleasant to look at and built well.

Another very nice local scene from La Boca. Other than the colorful architecture, what I like very much here is how you got the play of shadow form the large tree, though we don't really see the actual tree itself except the littl bit of branches on the top. the presence of the ladies adds liveliness to the composition. Another good shot.

Hello Matt, This is a very colorful scene with these two ladies basking in the warm sunshine. The blue surrounding the dark orange door definitely cause ones eyes to focus on your shot. The shadow of the tree almost serves as a frame for this picture. I could not figure out the picture shown on the right side as to whether it was on the building or a reflection. Very fine presentation. Regards, Roge

The two exhausted women resting in the autumn sun, and may be waiting for those magical opening door. Shade tree branch gives an interesting effect on the wall. Wonderful, very intense colors and perfect image sharpness.

this country, or at least the places you visited in Argentina seem to be very colorful...great for photos.
the sunlight striking the tall vertical doors are wonderful. lots of blues, and lots of charm.
as for my Vancouver post, you asked about if i corrected the lens distortion on it...for that one i was lucky enough that it was not needed.
Hope to see your vancouver shots!!

Very good composition with this detail of the facade, which combines various shades of blue, these two women catching the winter sun's heat is a nice complement to the composition. Superb graphics the projection of shadows, with the branches of the tree.
Good management of light and color.
P / D. Questions to comment on my picture, because in Mediterranean countries tend to be painted white houses and blue doors?
I'll tell you that the reason to use white is due to the heat of summer, because as you know the target decreases the effect of sunlight, doors and windows is already an aesthetic reason, because there are places where you can find in green or some other color.
