The Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar is located in the Recoleta district. The structure was completed in 1732 and the work is due to patron aragones Juan de Narbonne. It is considered the oldest church in the city of Buenos Aires.
The high altar is formed of a single nave with a cross and covered by a vaulted ceiling. It has the Baroque style with an image of Nuestra Señora del Pilar in the center and on the sides images of Franciscans saints. The altar still has inca ornamentation from the Alto Perú and is richly worked with silver.

This is a nicely composed shot of this beautiful alter. The vertical format works well here allowing us to see the closeup detail of the alter. The lighting and colors are nice and the photo has excellent sharpness.
