Calesita is how people call traditional carousels in Buenos Aires. In Buenos Aires there are 26 traditional carousels that survive the years. Located in places such as Almagro Plaza, Mayo Plaza, Ireland Plaza, Las Heras Plazas and at the Avellaneda and Rivadavia parks, and other public spaces.
This one I show is located inside the Zoo Garden at Palermo, and date from the 40's. Inside the Zoo there are another one and a total of five in Palermo neighborhood.

Such a rare sight now to see these carousels kept in such great condition, and these are very well cared for with their bright and beautiful colours. A very nice composition of the scene too as they rush in from the left creating that element of speed and excitement.
I really love how you handled the light here too, giving the horses an almost metallic feel. Really nicely done.
