Photographer's Note
The day the storm blew in & I lost many wonderful photo opportunities - This amazing landscape is tucked away amidst 800+ Volcanoes in the '' National Park of '' PAYUNIA '' The colours of this deep rustic red Volcanic gravel is breathtaking to see & the mustard to bright yellows of the vegetation that cover the Volcano's is a sight to behold.
Sadly it was an organised tour with a guide & there were very few photographic stops due to the bad weather.
That's not to say I came away empty handed!!! x

Pozdrav.
Surova priroda a lepa ...
Vrlo interesantno mesto sa vulkanskim pepelom, kamenjem i pogledom na planine u daljini, dobra kompozicija.
Dobar snimka, perspektiva i prikaz, lepe boje.
Sve najbolje.

Greetings.
The cruel nature of a beautiful ...
Very interesting place with volcanic ash, rocks and a view of the mountains in the distance, a good composition.
Good shot, the perspective and view, beautiful colors.
All the best.

Such a wonderful photo. It seems to be two different worlds here. Great colors and great shot with little light. Someday this landscape might have beautiful trees growing and animals running around. Wish I could just sit right there and watch it happen.
Great POV

Hi Dawn - I hadn't realised that you'de been a member for some time.
I do like this photo with its deep reds and soft coloured hills behind. Interesting pattern of rocks.
You've a good collection of photos on TE - you'll have to join SHPS as well!!!
Carry on enjoying Argentina.

Hola dear Dawn
You definitely did not come away empty-handed. This one's a corker! And except for that little bit of greenery it really could be our own Red Centre. Beautiful textures and tones. A minimalistic and superbly composed shot. Love it!
Un abrazo

Hi Dawn.
Such a pleasing perspective in this picture, and such a contrast of colour. This really feels otherworldly. Beautiful.
Best wishes.

Hello Dawn,
What an amazing deserted place! A huge red desert of barren volcanic gravel, interrupted only by a few small scattered rocks. An amazing sight indeed but this is against a beautiful distant vista of rolling hills beneath a rather threatening sky. Or is that "threatening sky" due to volcanic ash too?
Fabulous colours, great depth of field, perfect exposure and stunning detail and clarity.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello,
You got a nice landscape view with this surprizing red ground as main entry of the view and pushing the look to discover the volcano reliefs in background. It makes me think about some lanscapes from Iceland: similar colors and vegetation.

Hello Dawn,
This picture has beautiful (color) layers
and this creates with the little stone
on the forground a very nice depth in this
picture. The light management is also
great.

Hello Dawn,
the variety of Argentina“s landscapes never ceases to amaze and to delight me.It“s like the whole world in one country.Deserts are this type of landscapes I like the most.On the one hand raw and hostile for the human, but on the other hand having something unique and beautiful in itself. You were able to convey well the beauty of this place. The image excellently framed and has superb clarity, depth and nice,well-saturated colors.
Have a good sunday

Hi Dawn
This one photo was worth it! Even though it must have been painful to not have better weather and to be passing by opportunities. Again, the landscape here is from another world. It's like Mars, but better. Congrats on this photo.
Have a great week,
Tosca

Hi Dawn
yes, when it comes to organized tours, you will have limited times to stop and photograph :(
even with the bad weather, i still think you came away with a successful photo. it just adds to the overall atmosphere.
I'm sure people are saying it to you, but it looks as if you're on mars.
great to see far away places like this one.

Hi Dawn !
This is a breathtaking perspective, I simply love it:)
I guess, the foreground must have reminded you on your native country, kind of little Alice Springs...
Open spaces always inspire my mind and soul to follow the wonderful landscape till the next horizon shows its face.
Sincerely,
Tomek

Hi Dawn - What a wild landscape and despite the storm, or maybe due to it, this is a very atmospheric shot. The grittiness of the red gravel is so well captured and the light across the hills in the distance is subtle and beautiful. I love the way the small angular rocks are scattered through the shot. What a wonderful location and a super shot. Warm regards rosemary

Hi Dawn, just spotted this one in your gallery - it looks fantastic, just like a Martian landscape, isn't it?:)
Beautiful composition with the stones leading the eye right to the mountains and moody sky. Lovely work!

Ciao Dawn
Ciao e buona domenica

Inspit of the rain, I can see a vast landscape with red soil and low grass as far as the eyes can see, dawn.
Take your word there are some 800Vulcanos, not that I know any name about...
DOF and low mild light match the general scenery conveyed.

Hi Dawn
If I didn't know better I would also have thought this was from 'our' own red centre. Often on dismal days we are able to capture some of our best shots - and this is a very good example. Tfs, Marlene
