Photographer’s Note
Parque Ischigualasto, near San Augustin de Valle Fertil, province of San Juan, Argenntina. A Unesco World Heritage site. The parc is also know as Valle de la Luna, the valley of the moon. I thought I'd experiment a little with the sunlight :)

There is a strong blooming in the sun here. It's a typical D70 issue, seems that it really doen't have a 1/8000 mechanical shutter speed, its only 1/250 and the 1/8000 is get via an electronic exposure in the sensor.
Its a terrible problem in direct sunlight shot like this one. You should use a -3EV neutral filter and close the aperture down.
