Photographer’s Note
This one I took on the bus to Cafayate from Salta. On this long way, you pass through the "Quebrada de Cafayate", the valley of Cafayate, a reddish valley full of wild landscape and rock formation, a place so remote that it was hard to believe that someone will actually live there...but, indeed, there are many many that live among those masses of earth. On one instance, the bus stopped to take this family, waiting in the heat of the day for a ride. Only god knows were they came from as I couldn't notice any hut or house in the area...

Hi Chen, An amazing photo & a great note to describe the scene, the shot oozes heat, the light is excellent & the colours perfect, your sky shows not a cloud, so that shade must be a god send for them, a lovely quality picture & wonderfully framed, kind regards Wilson.

Wow il a l'air de faire rudement chaud! La verdure doit avoir bien du mal à survivre dans ce paysage de secheresse. Beau cadrage, les couleurs ressortent bien et ne sont pas sursaturées.

salom chen,
an interesting effect - the two overlapping slopes seem to be close to each other while in reality they probably stay in quite a distance...
sort of a negev-like deserted area...and you nicely "broke" its monotony with the lonely tree and that bunch of people...
interesting photo,

Hi chen,
I like this very much. Not only the colour toning and contrast, but the way you composed this with the family waiting under the tree...great shot. Really tells a story...like this one a lot.

Hello Chen
YOu have captured the red colour of the ground very well here, the family's size compared to their suroundings provide an idea of the grandness of the nature here.
Well done

Hi Chen
it's a nice landscape from Argentina. The red stone is nice. It's not the idea i had from this country.
NIce light and strong composition give an interesting picture

Now, I can see the picture with much more understanding than before.
I just came back from my trip, and Northern Peru is just like that...
Bare mountains, scarce greenery - and the people out of nowhere...
I can still see it when I close my eyes.
Brightly and clearly.
Thanks, Chen

Hi Chen,
The diagonal line and the curve of the road are assets to the composition. The presence of the family has an effect of scale. The point of view leads our eyes toward the mountains in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Hello Chen !
Great composition with this big family of 4 young kids, alone in the rock desert without any water nor food.
They may live a rude life !
