Waiting horses, a photo from Salta, North

Photographer's Note

At "siesta" time ( from 12 to 16 hours) when all activity stops to rest and sleep, in a small village of Salta I found these waiting horses

At the North of Argentina but mostly in Salta there are many fields with bushes with thorns and this horse has a skin to protect the rider's legs,this type of mount is common in this area of the country

I think there was a celebration and at such times people like traditional dress, more neat than when they work

Hello Nikkitta, my special friend from Argentina.. it must have been hot when you took this photo. the shade gioving some respite.. Did you join the party afterwards. It has been warm here in the UK- but that is relative as today was 8 degrees- three degrees warmer than the national average for this time of year. - Cold but all relative. have a great day Rich

Hola Maria,

This could be a scene from the 'Wild West', except that a sidewalk defines the curb. The horses look somewhat like the short-legged Arabians, are they descendants of the horses introduced by the Conquistadors? It is beautifully composed shot, trustfully framed.

While the perspective & depth is well created by the dusty path, the horses create a bit of a 'surprise' taking place of cars being 'parked' along the path. The domed structure in the BG (cathedral?) creates a fine focal point in the distance

nice the view of the waiting horses under the dense shadow, as the same time take a part from the human siesta.I like the creative perspective from the earthy road, as the light and the colour maangement of the scene.

Una simpatica y curiosa imagen con estos tres caballos esperando pacientemente a la sombra de esos arboles, una magnifica perspectiva la que da la calle, que se pierde en la distancia, con aquella iglesia que se perfila al fondo. Muy bonitos colores y gran nitidez. Buen trabajo.

Maria quiero que no queden dudas entre ambos, te dire que no se si enviaste algun comentario anterior al del dia 18 de Febrero, pues lo moderadores me borraron una foto y con ella todos los comentarios.
