'' MOON HOUSE '', a photo from Salta, North

Photographer's Note

I have never seen anything so amazing as this ' Moon House ' hence the name...
It is situated in such a remote part of Argentina driving along the main routes you wold miss it - we went off road in our car to do a little exploring of the area when we came across this fabulous home... I was lucky enough to take this image before the skies opened up.

This is the first time that I see this type of house, a moon house, excellent tittle for these architecture..
You chose a good angle with a lot depth and perspective.

One with the earth I say. Great find Dawn, and wonderfully presented. I wonder how far into the rock this house really goes? Anyway, your lucky find has great earth tone colors and needing very little light due to the color of the rock. Beautiful POV Dawn!!

Very interesting houses made by different kind of architectural model in a rocky hill. Very nice composition and good presentation. Two fresh green trees are seen very well in this rocky environment.

A magnificent and striking composition, with this unique home, I certainly have not seen these forms so well adapted to the rock.

Hello Dawn,

This is certainly a curious habitation, more like a film set than a real house and yet ...!
I like how you have included the fence, anchoring the f/g and giving a sense of depth. The ladder tells us much about accessibility.

I couldn't help wondering if the houses were connected or was the lower house a poorer version of the many domed uipper house.

A sharp, interesting shot.

This architecture is so right for this place somehow.I wonder who the architect is?Someone who has a very good feel of the surrounding land I think.
This is a lovely image Dawn and the soft light and looming clouds really compliment each other.

Nice house in an unusual setting. Well done!! I would like to visit this region but I'm afraid of earthquakes especially after having survived the 8.8 which occured in Chile in February of 2010. Thanks for sharing.

Strange built "Iglues" and a most intriguing earth formation in the surrounding's.
