Photographer’s Note
Ruca Malen Vineyard. Mendoza is by far the biggest and most important of the Argentinian wine regions, accounting for over 70% of total production. Pink-skinned grapes, notably, Criolla Grande, account for over half of plantings and are used for inexpensive wines and grape concentrates. Of the remainder, red wine grapes account for around half and are mainly Malbec with the white wine grapes being predominantly Chardonnay.
