Photographer’s Note
The monument "Ejército de los Andes" was erected on the Cerro de la Gloria, later named Cerro del Pilar. It's the work of the Uruguayan sculptor Juan M. Ferrari, and was inaugurated in 1914. The base of the monument was built with stones that come togheter in a steep peak. It gives homage to General San Martín an the Andean Army. The top of the hill is also a splendid place to look out at the city at day and night.

Hello, Patricio,
Great statue! Really tells a story. I like how you captured it in strong sidelighting to accentuate the shadows and dramatize the movement. Interesting how the bird seems to be "following the action." :)
Regards,
Lisa
