Photographer's Note
Travelling in the North of Argentina on the side of the Cordillera de los Andes you are always close to the mountains and some times the road heads straight towards them, often you have to climb high through a high pass to get to the other side, other times the road makes a last minute turn before you hit the mountains !!!

Hi Gus
this is a pretty imposing type of view.
its really cool how the mountain range is basically the same height from edge of frame left to right.
Also, I like the shadow's of the clouds on the mountain too.
this is a fine triple layered scene.
cheers

Hola Gus,
Josep

Hello Gus,
What a luxe, a highway without cars, this is 40 year ago that I this once saw in Belgium.
Perspective and depth are absolutely nice done, with the mountains in background.
Composition and presentation make these picture attractive.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice Sunday,
John.

Hi Gus,
that's a striking photo. I love this kind of pictures where perfect roads run through the wild mountains. I always get a special feeling in such places. This one reminds me of my trip to Fujairah in UAE. Very impressive!
Thank you and have a good time.
Marina
P.S. If I ever happen to visit Oxford or Cambridge in this life, I'll send you the most beautiful postcard from those places:)

Hola Gus.
Luis.

Hi Gus,
Oh yes take me home mountain roads - almost heaven in parts - what a sensational trip this was - this was the safe part of the climb - Wonderful colours & content - what is incredible in Argentina is how the roads are constructed in the first place - the man power that is needed & the fact of carving the way through hundreds of kilometres of mountainous terrain.
Well done dear hubby.
Muchos love!!!

An intimidating sight to see here, Gus! This is a pretty amazing wall of rock the driver is confronted with - I can imagine having a difficult time here, given the desire I'd have to simply take in the views... I might miss a turn here or there! Thanks for sharing it.

Ciao bambino!
Wow, that's some spectacular landscape we're getting here. I'm surprised you didn't crash your car staring at it. It's so majestic, those rugged peaks and the sky just blow me away. Excellent colours, sharpness and depth. The mountains look three-dimensional. WHat a shot, congratulations.
Un abrazo

Hi Gus
What a rugged beauty here with lots fine elements to look at. A wonderful view undoubtedly one of most dramatic scenery well captured given the lighting conditions. The exposure is superbly handled producing wonderful detail right the way through the shot in such great dof. The natural colouring is some of the best I have seen and nothing short of spectacular, how could you forget this experience Gus! Indeed a fantastic scene with great depth aided by your selective view point, along with the dramatic cloudscape above further adds to the general beauty and impact of the whole scene. You have captured the full majesty of the location and a real stand out shot. Great photo works, my compliments :))
Kind regards

Hello Gus,
Indeed, here it really looks like the road turns only at the very last minute before hitting the mountains. They really loom up very suddenly.
This mountain range looks very rough and inhospitable.
Excellent composition in horizontal layers.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Gus,
A strong shot, no doubt! I like how you divided the frame into three layers: two straight + one curved, two gray + one blue. The light reflecting from the clouds and the rocks is lovely. Congratulations, it is an interesting piece!
Warm regards,
Izabela
