"From the Mountain to the Sea"
"Ski till lunch Surf till dinner"
"Beneath the Mountain Beside the Sea"
All those advertising catch phrases are used to identify New Plymouth - one of the few places in the world where these two diverse activities can be undertaken on the same day. Depending on your choice only a short 1 hour drive separates the two locations.
The photo. Consideration was given to adding more snow, removing the houses etc, but this is exactly what it looked like on that day - and No the mountain has not been photoshopped into location. Stand on the lee breakwater and there it is - right between the masts. |

A bright photo youve taken - with strong colours. The background mountains adds more to the photo, a beautiful place to see.

Like Plymouth remembers me Sierra Nevada in Spain, near Granada. From the snowing one`s reaches quickly the beach. For me you have concentrated in the fishing boat. In portuguese these boats are called ( Tráineiras ). As far as ones reaches the mountain properly the countryside must be a great green flat of cultivated fields. It is a pleasure to communicate with a person from that country. Greetings. Domingos
