I took this with Malgo (Emka) at dawn on Coogee Beach last year when she was visiting Australia.
With all the sadness that's going on in the world at the moment, particularly with respect to the treatment of children, I propose this photo and this song: O' Children by Nick Cave

Hello dear Lisa, very good picture of this beautiful and interesting unrepeatable moment, beautifully captured in this beautiful image with good sharpness, depth, light and beautiful color. Very good and interesting job well done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work.
Good morning and happy weekend.
Warm greetings from southern Spain.

This is an amazing spectacle, and even more so when combined with the emotion your dedication, not to any one or any group, but to all who suffer. As you say, there seems to be so much crap going on now, and it seems the past few weeks the world has just gone mad, passenger jets being shot down, hospitals being bombed, children dying, rockets flying everywhere. It's sad. If only people could all look at each other and see what we see here in your picture. Calming and restful image, perfect for a Friday eve after a long hot day in work.
Have a blissful weekend :)

Good timing with the sun behind the cloud, rays emanating, the golden hued water sun reflected upon the water and beach. Ideal sunset vision.
Have an excellent weekend,
PS: I have no idea who Munchkin Dudley is? I do remember the short Munchkins from the flick Wizard of Oz, but being 6' 3" I have never been called one...

How very different this is from the photos I took with Malgo in Warsaw recently :-). With alldue respect for Warsaw this is a lot more beautiful. The dark cloud covers the rising sun just enough to enhance the rays. The golden tones of the entire view are fabulous and the waves look like they're rolling quite gently towards the beach. You captured a fine atmosphere.

That one is pure gold! Light is fantastic thanks to those clouds. And those rays under the cloud are icing on the cake.
Thanks for the link. You note brought to my mind Hell is for Children of Pat Benatar.

Fantabidoshious, I love it, golden sea, billowing clouds, spoked rays and a perfect sunset……what? Sunrise, well I'll be darned!!!!
Great post, thanks. Oh, just listened to the song, "O'Children", never heard of Nick Cave……double thanks. I noticed another of his title's is "Push The Sky Away"……please leave it where it is.

Dramatic light & sky indeed, a finely captured rare moment which is really awesome to view. The sun beam is a real bonus creating lots of good contrast to this warm tones, I think you have done your utmost to control the exposure to best with pleasant result. An eye grabber shot definitely, beauty of mother nature and very atmospheric with the pounding waves further add the drama. Beautiful shot, Congrats

ciao cara Lisa,
Marvelous photo and memories of my first photos with tripod ((and now I don't go without one :)) and my first vegemite sandwich. These were the days in Sydney... I remember how I tried the temperature of the ocean water, lol.
Wonderful tribute to the children, victims of wars and injustice. Stunning beauty of sunset.
have a great weekend

a beautiful and heartfelt sentiment lies behind this glorious image. One wonders where the current state of affairs in this troubled world of ours will end. Politics and People the only thing they seem to have in common is the they both begin with the letter "P" which coincidently also starts the word PEACE. Ah! if only it was that simple eh?
Enjoy your weekend - B.

What a fantastic sunset you have captured here. Perfect choice of the vertical format to encompass sea and sky and give both due prominence. Sublime light and colours. Love the sunburst through the clouds. I wish you a very pleasant weekend.

J'aime beaucoup ce cadrage vertical qui va chercher très loin dans le ciel ces rayons de soleil dorés qui tentent tant bien que mal de percer les nuages.L'utilisation de ce filtre donne une très belle texture à la mer.
macjake (61358) 2014-07-26 15:43
I'm baaaaaack! lol
nice to see this one in your gallery, its right up your alley.
thats a pretty cool effect with the light streaming in from behind the clouds like a fan - i always want to get that in my sunset shots but never seem to.
the scene is picture perfect, like the opening credits of a movie or tv show :)
love the sense of total openness here, so peaceful, thought provoking in a sort of way.
see you around, working all weekend.

Hi dear Lisa
Merveilleux moment capturer, les couleurs sont sublime, j'aime aussi l'arriver des vagues sur le sable, une très belle image accompagner d'une douce chanson ( que je ne connaissait pas)
Beau dimanche a toi

Taking in so many current events, this is truly a reflective image and a well thought out dedication to those affected. Like the rays of sunlight, we can at least take in a glimpse of breaking through to better times ahead. An image full of wonderful golden tones and shades of contrast, this can easily be viewed as inspirational and a positive outlook for the future. And if nothing else, it's a helluva' sunset! :) Have a great week my friend. Take care.

Ciao cara Lisa,
A perfect dedication in these troubled times when war and conflict appear to be on the increase and the main sufferers are the innocent victims, particularly children.
And what a stunningly beautiful photograph to remind us that whoever or whatever we believe our God to be, He (or She) has provided us with with a beautiful place in which to live and all we seem to be able to do by way of appreciation is to destroy it - and ourselves into the bargain.
How wonderful that you were with Malgo when you took this one! I seem to recall a picture which Malgo posted some time ago and which echoed those same gorgeous colours - the colours of liquid gold.
The sky is fabulously dramatic, the sun, hidden behind a large cloud, lighting up that cloud's edges and sending beams of light toward the horizon almost as in an artist's interpretation of some Biblical scene. Yet that same light softens as it hits the sea and the waves in the foreground have a much softer and calmer appearance.
A truly stunning image with fabulous light and colours, perfectly captured with spot-on exposure and exquisite details and clarity.

A perfect dedication to the many suffering children in the world. You show how beautiful the world can be in this amazing sunset picture.
Best wishes, Ann

Cia cara Lisa,
Un sogno d'oro! Fantastico tramonto con bei toni dorati, incredibile i raggi del sole tra le nuvole. Mi piace molto!

Hello dear Lisa,
this is an extraordinary photo, the natural scenery is striking and conveys fascinating drama. Agitation both on the sea and in the sky and a colour palette that's mesmerizing. The other day, a friend had uploaded a seemingly old b&w picture of Facebook, a group portrait of school children and the caption was asking if we could spot Nick Kave among them. I think I found him fast enough and then soaked in the information of the faces, the clothes, the atmosphere for a while. In relation with this dedication of yours I wonder how many little children who could have led interesting and happy lives and offer something precious to the world are unfairly sacrificed to greed, blind rage and power games. Congratulations for the photo and thank you for raising awareness.
All the best, have a great week,
