The soft sandstone that makes up the headland areas along the coastal regions of NSW are being eroded away by the current tidal/wave action.
These platforms fracture and crumble with huge boulders being displaced into the encroaching waves. Every visit to one of these locations is different photographically depending on the tidal phase, the weather etc. The surfaces of the rock shelves are amazing with crevices and fish bowl shapes eroded away and filled with small limpets and sea weed.
Endless inspiration, awe and beauty........

another stunning and compelling seascape. Love the FG detailing and the superbly managed light that makes it both idyllic and captivating. DOF is amazing for F5 too! Awesome!

Nature's artwork, differential erosion creating layers, pockets, and ongoing as within your scene. Attractive positioning, sandstone ledge foreground, frothy wave action, and distant headland.
Nicely composed and created,

A beautiful natural artwork, and one that is ever evolving, it must be amazing to come to a place like this and see a new sight every time. You captured the far off lighthouse with amazing clarity too, I feel if I zoom right in I could peep in the windows!
Also, in the rock just of centre I can see the smiling face of a happy crocodile :)
All the best

Nitidezza e contrasto insuperabili.
Complimenti per l'ennesima volta.
Ciao e buona serata

Another fine seashore shot Kathryn. I do like the detail on the rocks, in addition to the erosion we can see molluscs and weed and I bet there is all manner of life that makes its home in the dark damp crevices. The fringe of dunes also tell us about the onshore wind and I'm sure the lighthouse is more than necessary when the storms get up.
A wonderful shot. well managed and nicely illustrative.
