I wrote enough about the post earthquake "temporary" cathedral in Christchurch. I couldn't resist this shot of the cardboard cylinders which make up the roof. The colour is darker than actually, but I needed to darken the image in order to show the light between the cylinders. The true colour is very close to that found in my previous image.
In workshop I include a few more photos of the interior details, one of which is to remind you that the walls of this cathedral are in fact shipping containers, some of which have been converted into offices and even a tearoom.

Another strong reminder of the events that took place in Christchurch three years ago. You created and eye-catching abstract here. The composition along a diagonal works really well.
It's almost impossible to imagine that this cosy looking office is in fact located in a shipping container.

stunning graphic shot this. I love the light and textures here, but is is your crop and imaginative composition that makes it both arty and compelling. Superb!
Enjoy the weekend - B.

Fantastic Abstract photo... it is incredible what amazing architecture is being created out of shipping containers... I recently saw images of wonderful homes - who would of thought - nice to see they have other uses...

I really like this POV; the graphism is very strong. I also like the way the light filters through the cylinders. This cathedral is very photographic. :-)

You found an original POV to make a great graphical composition from this modern cathedral. You used very well the lines ! I love it !

seeing this angle I see the exterior light comes from the space between the cylinders while in Londrina it comes from the big triangular windows.
in this image the graphic mood is stronger and more beautiful yet. nice job.
