Photographer's Note
Watching kangaroos hopping or leaping over fences are two of the great sights of Australia. The trouble is that you don't often get to see them leaping partly because they will often go under rather than over fences.
I spotted a mob heading towards a fence at Talisker, an old mining settlement on the coast near Cape Jervis. Unfortunately by the time I got my camera ready they'd already moved on. Luck was with me - another mob appeared and I got my first ever photos of kangaroos leaping over a fence - a magical moment.

Hello IAn ,
In the thumbnail (i'd nor read the title) , it seems to be a view of a fine seascape , with good contrast green-blue . Opening it , what a surprise ! You've captured the jumping kangaroos at the best moment .
Bravo

Hi Ian.
What can one say? Superb timing all round, not only to be there but to make such a sharp exposure at the crucial moment. And to top it off, the deep blue sea and the fine foliage of those native bushes - some kind of melaleuca maybe? Anyway, it's a magical moment alright.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Ian,
wow, I cannot imagine a better picture from your country. It is amazing. Even without the beautiful animals it would be a great shot with the green vegetation set against the ocean. Kangaroos captured while jumping through a fence -it could not get better, really.
Excellent work, congratulations!!!
