Photographer's Note

The remote, south western corner of Rottnest Island off Perth, in the Indian Ocean, has this gorgeous turquoise bay, known as Fish Hook Bay. Unsurprisingly, it is shaped like a fish hook or j. Snorkelling here in the summer months is superb. Access is by boat or bike.

I ever people needed to be tempted to swim in the sea, this most be the shot to do it!! The aqua, shimmering water is so inviting!. You have composed the shot well and drawn strong contrasts between the smooth water textures and the rugged, surrounding rocks.

The point of view is sending my eye toward the cliff which is giving depth to the composition. It is also showing the details and colors of the sea and of the cliff. The afternoon light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Chris,

In this shot from Fish Hook Bay in Perth, I can see how clean the emerald waters are. I think I mentioned once that Perth is the closest city diametrically opposite my area of residence in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
