| The Vaemali Health clinic is situated atop a ridge on north Epi Island. From one side you can see Lopevi Island, which is an active volcano, and from the north you can see Ambrym volcanoes and to the west, islands off Malakula. The clinic is well run, but not well stocked and difficult to reach due to rough roads. Pregnant women usually get a bouncy ride in a pickup. Our house was a short walk from this clinic. |
