I usually hate sunset pix, but the colors this evening blew me away. I remember being very disappointed upon seeing this picture, as it was nowhere near as gorgeous as I remembered, but it will have to do.

What really draws me to this picture is how the color of the sky is not correlated with the ocean color, which gives it another dimension. As well, the depth you get from the two land masses really sets this picture apart. These are several reasons why this photo could only have been taken at this exact spot! Good job.
Sunsets are often disappointing in retrospect, because the eye always see more of it than a photograph can capture. I find that underexposing slightly brings out the colors more. Also, there are often great opportunities just after the sun has gone down.
This is a fascinating capture, not just because of the sky, but because the colors in the reflection don't seem to match it. There's no need to manipulate it, but you do need to clean up a stray streak at center left - a ninor flaw easily corrected.
