Photographer’s Note
All over the southern hemisphere you can find trees like this one. They start blooming in November and are called Christmas Trees in some regions, where snow is hardly seen outside the freezers.
As some of you may have noticed I tried to remove some dust and dirt in the sky from the scanned slide picture in a unprofessional way - well I am a amateur photographer - hope you are able to forgive.

Hi Thomas,
Very crisp beach shot. this is my favorite colours.
I think there is a little a lot about a road in the bottom.
Great saturation and sharpness.

Very nice Thomas, though perhaps the sky seems a bit over saturated, but still nice in every other way.

Wow, Thomas, the colours and contrasts in this shot are stunning. The saturation is superb and best of all it doesn't look out of place either. Composition is great and I like the way the wavy clouds seen to mimic the curve of the top of the tree. Excellent shot.

Hi Thomas
Great composition. I like the details of the hut, the slanting palm tree on the right, the curve of the road, the beautiful flowers in the tree and those amazing clouds. Stunning colours, great DOV and perfectly polarized.
Well done.

Your exposure and composition together with the polarizing filter has made this landscape, a heavyweighted photographic impression.Punchy and densed.

Gee, I'd love to be there !! A brilliant picture with amazing colors and a sky that is so much more interesting than a sky that is 'simply blue'. I love it !

Strong colour and very dramatic sky - the polarizer has done its job nicely. A nice simple composition that invites the viewer in to relax and enjoy "Island Time" for a while.

It is a very escapist shot. My only distraction from perfection on this shot is that road either should have been eliminated or the bottom half eliminated and the upper curving area emphasized. Great job. love those 24 mm.

I'd like to be there right now. I like the POV with the shack off center and the ocean in the background with a little bit of a palm tree leaning in to the right. Beautiful shot.

Good color composition and detailed clouds. I really like the clounds! They look like smoke. Vivid sky blue, nice red top on the tree. I like the road going along the beach. Great shot.

Interesting subject and great colours. I like the clouds, the tree, and the shed, which all fit well together. I'm not entirely sure about the composition, though. The road in the bottom right doesn't really fit, and the overall effect doesn't lead the viewer's eye around the photo very well. Still, good shot.

From my point of view the angle has been chosen well and the colours of course are brilliant. It gives the viewer the impression of standing right there and smell the fresh breeze. I think framing would have been a good idea, but apart from that I would not change anything... Great shot!

Wow..fantastic. I love this work man, very nice vivid colours. Well seen, the red in the tree is awesome. The tree also has a cool shape, with that curve on it's top.
I like the details on the left side. There is indeed a weird piece in the sky on the right, piece of a tree. Maybe you could have cropped it of, or cloned it away proper. A composition from a position more to the right, also viewing a bit more to the left, would have been awesome too, I think.
Great effect by the polarizer.

The composition is wonderful. I like the way the tree branches flow with the road, and at the same time the road seems to suck you into the scene. Good vibrant colors with nice contrast. Picture is sharp and your pov is perfect.

Please see workshop and look at the huge amount of cloning that was done to this "original".
Also, the highlights are blown (pure white, flat clouds with no details); the contrast is too severe, and others have already commented about the need to crop out some of the roadway. The saturation is unnatural; too intense, especially with the excessive contrastiness.

There is a little part of the tree, blowing in the air like a ghost, but it doesn't change the quality of the photo.
