Photographer’s Note
The islands of Samoa are created by underwater volcanic erruptions and the sea does its best to get them back. The volcano on Savaii si still active and errupts from time to time. From all volcanic islands I have seen, the contrast between land, vegetation and sea on Samoa offers the finest colours.

It looks like a Jurassic times, I'm sure there is a T-Rex hiding for hunt :)
Lovely POV and professional job.

You have a powerful impression here Thomas. How the trees meet up with the ocean. The underexposure on the rocks and trees give shadows which create depth to this scene.

Nice shot, and very much like prehistoric times. I have never been to Samoa, but I got the very same feeling when going walking through New Zealand.

Very tropical photo.
I like how this avoids cliches by not showing white sand beach, but black, sharp vulcanic rocks instead. That vawe hitting a rock is a nice detail. Panorama format fits well.
I'm not sure about the frame, but it sure catches the eye as a fingerprint.

This looks prehistoric. As if shot some million years ago. The cinema effect makes it even more real somehow. I especially like the color compo. Good balance between vivid colors and not too much contrast, giving it a little cloudy touch.

Lovely shot. I've scanned the reactions above, and I indeed think, this looks like taken long ago. It looks so abandoned, so pure, as if men have never came there. Atleast there are no visible influences of mankind. Looks a bit like a starting shot for a movie on a abandoned island, going with the camera from sea to land, then maybe meeting main characters of such a movie. Well..those are just my thoughts when I see this, hehe.
Good POV and composition, I like the tree in on the left rule of thirds line, splitting the image in 2, land and sea.
Good details, vivid colours.
I like the border too..movie ;)
Short but informative note. Thumbs up, great work! TFS.
