Photographer’s Note
Samoans use the back of a machete to crack a coconut in half. They then lay coconuts in the sun to dry into copra. The copra is bagged and brought to the copra station to be weighed and sold. The copra is then exported to be made into suntan oil, soap, cooking oil, etc.
