Photographer’s Note
Papuan dance show in Lae, Papua New Guinea. The performance was arranged for the passangers who arrived with the cruise ship Queen Elizabeth 2, February 2004. (Lae was the place where the famous pilot Amelia Earhardt started her last flight from.) This place is not often visited by tourists, so we had to be transported with buses from the churches, as no tourist buses existed. There were a lot of folk dancers, who had come from all over the country to dance for us. It was wonderful and colourful!
