This is a re-posted version of my earlier posting. That was one of my first postings and I hadn't read the instructions for sizing correctly - so here is a full sized version. I also took out some extra dust marks that were visible when I resized the photo.
I took this photo at the Sing Sing (dance/celebration) in Port Moresby in 1971 when Papua New Guinea gained self government.Groups came from around the country to celebrate, some in very traditional outfits (like in this photo) and some in more European outfits. I was lucky in that my wife was teaching at a local school so I was able to move amongst the dancers and capture classic shots of traditional dancers like this one.
