Hi Jim,
it was the right decision to take this shot! Due to your POV it is a perfect composition concerning the light, sharpness and not to forget the amazingly saturated colours. The fence gives a nice depth. Excellent work! I am looking forward to further NZL-photos.
Best regards

Jim, this is georgous, it is a little piece of the world where one could go and get lost in it's peacefulness. Colors are spring like and the sun seems to be whit yet low in the sky producing great shawows. Great capture.

A beautiful landscape, the saturation of green attracts me most and the wooden fences conveys a greater sense of depth in the scene. Well done Jim, impressive shot.

Hi Jim,
Very lush greens!! Like the line of the gate and the strong shade as well. Very pleasant light hitting that little mountain as well, though it could have been a slight bit sharper. But a nice compo!

I am often asked where if I had a choice would I like to live and I always think of New Zealand. Id love to get an extended break from work and spend some time traveling Australia and NZ. I love the deep lush greens of this one Jim and I like how you used the fench to lead us into the scene. Very nice work.

Hello Jim, nice and attractive landscape! Great colors and composition. I think there is no need of f/19. This gives blurred image.

Phil
Hi Jim,
a very nice shot! I saw so many shots of New Zealand and in my opinion, it must be a great country to live, not only for photographers ;-) I really like these saturated green tones, the fence leads the eye towards the hills and the sky is lovely. Very nice one Jim!
Take care

Hi Jim,
Great lead in line from the fence, and the aperture chosen for depth of field is excellent. Lovely light available when you took the shot, I miss such beautiful light and clouds where I'm living, so it's good to see it here (if through a laptop monitor!)

Lee

Blue vs green always works well... And it works even better with a good compo like this one. The fence coming from the bottom left lead us right into the middle of the scene and then to the mountain on the back. Great choice of depth here. f/19 worked really well maintaining the distance between the several elements in the frame. I like it.

Hi Jim,
I like the way you angled this shot with the fence leading ones focus towards the mountain. Excellent image and color quality which is very natural and clear. The long shadows of the gave is a nice bonus. Well captured and composed! tfs

Hi Jim,
Excellent light renders lovely soothing shadows to the old wooden fence that draws and effective line towards the distant hills and the vivid blue sky that contrast beautifully with the lush green foreground.

Hi Jim,
Going out after rain has stopped often results in much cleaner air and much better rendering of image quality, which seems to be the case here, simple but nice rural view under the sun and with an attractive cloud to populate the sky, no sheep there ?
Have a nice day JY

Hi Jim
I was in the process of writing a critic about one of your photos when it disappeared. I was saying that the black sand was due to the volcanic activity. It was a pretty photo.
This one is lovely too thanks to the bright green grass and how you've aligned the fence up with the corner. The sky is nicely polarized too.
Regards
Nikki

A very beautiful composition with the diagonal row of fence post and the gate. The colours are really refreshing with changing tones of greens to the blue sky. The profile of the skyline created by the rolling hill makes a huge difference to this shot too. Any chance of having a couple of cattle in the farm?
tfs such a great work

Hey Jim,
Looks almost like European scenery, still it`s incredibly beautiful and well shot. Love the warm colors, the defined clouds, the fence that bisects the image and makes it even more interesting. Beautiful stuff.
Best regards.

Hi Jim,
A nice composition with saturated colours, a good light and a nice play of shadows which adds strenght to your foreground.
Well done!

Jim,
another wonderful nature image, nice greenery with the one hill reaching up toward the beautiful sky. Great sharpness and clarity, good composition with line of fence leading our vision into the forest and hill. Good contrast, I'm glade that you stop the saturation at this point, I felt any further would be too much, the green is fairly intense, perhaps from the rain, water can increase the intensity in colors. Lovely and down to earth kind of nature. Naturally beautiful and Make one just want to roam free in the field of green, and busted out in song, "The hill's alive with the sound of..." Okay, let me not and say "I did." Thanks
Way

Hello Jim,
a very stunning landscape of Whatipu. Really lovely. Nice sky and nice pastures. Great element of shadow and perspective.
The previous picture you responsded to me is the forest reserve which quite interesting to me. Very foresty and yes there animals there. It is a good for a starter - good for trekking and jungle experience , the real wild one will be in our National parks.
Welcome to Malaysia if you wish.
We can start from here!

Foozi

Hello Jim, nice lush country scene, do I see some spring colours?, well composed with the fence leading the eye to the mountain, Good detail & colour, looking at your beautiful blue sky & not threatening at all, is a reminder for me to use my polarizer more often, I tend to forget.
Thanks

Hello Jim,
A clever composition, where the fence is used for everything it is worth!
I notice the green fields during what is supposed to be winter, no reason to complain unless this is a result of unwanted climatic changes...
A pleasant composition, a treat to my eyes!

Well, Jim, of course that first I must say that these colours are beautifully saturated. But, the detail I like most is that shadow from the fence, and the diagonal line of poles begining in the left corner to cross the image leading our eyes to the mountain. Well taken!

Hello Jim. The undulating green pasture is really an eye catcher. The fence and wooden gate adds perspective with good contrast under light and shadow. The backdrop is just stunning against the beautiful sky. Well framed and thanks for sharing. Jusni
