Hello to all my TE friends,
I am dedicating this sunset image to all those who love sunrise/sunset for their beauty!
This one was captured down at the Karekare beach in the westcoast of Auckland just after the summer end and before going into autumn!
Hope you will like it and thanks also for your time!

Well... it's really a lovely sunset! I love those red stripes in the sky, delcate and intense at the same time. A sunset by the sea is the most enchanting experience...

Hi, Tony -

Lovely! I think the far shoreline is a bit slanted, no? Great positioning of the sun and its reflection captured in the foreground.

Here on the American west coast we get lovely sunsets too, but you can sunrise and sunset in the ocean the same day. Hummpph!

fascinating the sunset at the Karekare beach with the subdued light to be well managed in the foreground,and with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds and to makes this a great shot.The reflections of the sun beams,make the capture more interesting. A really beautiful sunset at the sea, the picture is absolutely amazing. Fantastic colors making a magnificent contrast to each other and fantastic light. You also chose an excellent point of view and composed this photo brilliantly. The atmosphere here is great and there´s a good feeling of depth when you look at the photo.

I, for one, love sunsets! They have such romantic conatations!
This one is particularly beautiful as it paints the fading sky with warm streaks of colour but also leaves enough light to distinguish the ripples on the sea, and a glow on the sand.

Looking forward to seeing all these beaches around the West coast when the weather gets better. You hit the sun just right, which is giving off subtle reds and oranges. The wispy clouds compliment the scene well. Overall colours and composition is well captured.

When you this image see that must your immediate take this image, this moment is always very short.
In middle the dark mountain zone, gives a nice contrast against the pink sky and the sea with reflections in foreground.

Hello Tony,

A fabulous sunset, captured with high resolution. One scene you might consider is the sky on the other side from a sunset, something that old artists frequently took advantage of. Take a look at Learning from the Painter, as an alternative choice when viewing beautiful rising and setting suns. In any event it is a great shot,

Your photo catches perfectly in an image what we can feel on having enjoyed a sight as this one, with the light and the colors of the sunset.
Very beautiful composition, I like the texture and the silver sheens in the sea, the black silhouette of the coastline, and the Sun that hides itself behind it.
The sky with the brushstrokes of clouds they complete an excellent image.

This is a lovely sunset, from late winter last year!
The light reflects so nicely off the silky-crisp water, and the silhouetted land adds fine contrast to the composition...
